About Jannaways

Rachel Jannaway
Founder, Director and Principal ConsultantI support boards and leadership teams to improve how their organisations actually work – how decisions are made, how authority operates in practice, and how change becomes sustainable in everyday life.
I work where leadership, systems and practice meet, bringing clear thinking at times when organisations need to see the whole picture, not just the immediate issue.
Experience
For more than two decades I have worked in regulated, complex and purpose-led environments across financial services, charities and public bodies.
Across those settings the same lesson repeats: change succeeds when leaders can see their system clearly, and struggles when important assumptions remain hidden.
The 5 Lenses grew from repeatedly observing how experienced leaders make sense of those situations.

USING AI
IN OUR PRACTICE
AI tools support how we prepare, analyse and structure thinking. They help surface patterns and explore alternatives more quickly. They do not make decisions.
Responsibility for judgement, advice and outcomes always sits with a person.
We increasingly help boards consider what this principle means in their own governance.

She writes regularly on leadership, governance and AI through the Insights section.
